    Master of Science in Nursing

    Prepare to pursue leadership opportunities in nursing with CalSouthern’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program for working nurses. Our program is designed to cultivate creativity, professional accountability, and academic integrity in order to promote the ethical and equitable care of patients throughout all levels of healthcare. The MSN program utilizes industry-relevant evidence, technology, and information systems, and helps nurses work to develop advanced analytical and problem solving skills to improve overall patient care.

    Learners may select a concentration as a nurse executive leader, nurse educator, or healthcare administration.

    CalSouthern’s MSN program meets the California Board of Registered Nursing requirements to apply for PHN certification in California. Registered Nurses from other states, please check your home state’s specific requirements.

    ADMISSION

    At CalSouthern, the admission process is quick and simple. You are admitted with a BSN or bachelor’s degree equivalent from an appropriately accredited post-secondary institution and have completed your Registered Nurse licensure.

    DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

    The MSN Degree program consists of 36 credits (12 courses). Up to 6 graduate credits (2 courses) may be accepted in transferring from another program.

    Can I transfer my credits?

    We accept most course credits awarded by other appropriately accredited institutions. Professional evaluators will review your credits and determine what may qualify for transfer1.

    When can I start?

    Immediately. At CalSouthern, new courses start every month instead of every quarter or semester. Register by this month’s deadline to start courses next month on the 1st.

    While you may study on your own, you will never be alone. You will have access to Learner Support Services with a team of diverse staff, faculty mentors, and school-specific academic teams who are available to assist you throughout your academic journey at CalSouthern.
