    The mission of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is to provide a high quality undergraduate and graduate education to a globally dispersed student body of adult learners using distance learning methodologies.

    Through our Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership, we develop innovative, principled, insightful leaders and cultivate an environment of academic integrity while stimulating intellectual curiosity through a respectful exchange of ideas between our faculty mentors and learners.

    Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ)

    This program provides practical knowledge of criminal justice systems and operations with an emphasis on criminal courts, investigative principles, ethical principles, criminal law, victims of crime, and community relations. Additionally, it offers subject-specific curriculum in organized crime, white collar crime, drug and alcohol abuse, social and forensic psychology, and terrorism response.

    Ava Thorpe, MCJ, Doctoral Candidate

    Ava Thorpe is a criminal justice professional with instructional and career experience in criminal justice and forensic investigation. She is deeply committed to educating criminal justice professionals in both research and field practicum. Ava has held many positions in criminal justice. She has worked as a death investigation specialist/medicolegal investigator, police officer, probation and parole officer, and inmate records clerk. She has also worked in higher education since 2016. Her focus is expanding the criminal justice curriculum to provide real world experiential learning geared towards investigation, criminology, policing, homeland security, and intelligence.

    Absolutely! We accept most course credits and degrees awarded by other appropriately accredited institutions. Professional evaluators will review your credits and determine what qualifies for transfer.

    Immediately. At CalSouthern, new courses start every month instead of every quarter or semester. Register by this month’s deadline to start courses next month on the 1st.
